Throughout the 7 years I have spent in Singapore, I have never spared a time to discover a place as hippie and as beautiful as Bugis, not even once. But when I finally did it yesterday, I am already excited to list down what's next to explore within the area for my future visits. They have all sorts of small, conceptual cafes and restaurants throughout the stretch of Haji Lane and Arab Street, so I have been missing out big time obviously!

CROP THE PINK, SLIT THE PENCIL
The biggest downside of working as a client-facing frontline role is that I have to strictly adhere to a set of rules for my work attire. But being a fashion enthusiast does not stop me from experimenting on different styles everyday. I always try to mix casual and formal pieces together to pull off an approachable yet professional look at work... and partly because I want to utilize 80% of my wardrobe.

WHEELIN' WEEKEND
Last Sunday was kind of a typical "brunch hopping" day for Jen, my sister and I. Singapore has now become one of those countries that embraces conceptual dining experiences created by food stylists and talented chefs from all around the globe. There are various kinds of cafes in every corner of this city, you name it they have it! We do have a list of places to visit on more weekends to come, so we decided to begin the episode with this bike-garage themed cafe that is famous for their "Wheelers OOTD Backdrop" I should say.

CHANEL FEVER
Hi World,
Yes, Jennifer is alive :) It has been so long since I blogged and it definitely feels great to get back on track. Has been rather busy with work and life in general lately, so writing can be a great form of stress-free escape into the wilderness. To start off, I wanted to share with you on my tiny little addiction to Chanel cosmetics. Realized that as the time passed, my Chanel collection at home has expanded exponentially as well.
One of the main reasons why I use Chanel cosmetics is...
1. I love their packaging
2. They actually smell really good
3. They are very sensitive-friendly on all skin types (Especially those who has sensitive skin)
The great thing about Chanel cosmetics is that they always have these great promotions and makeup live tips for members every month or so. I did the 60 minutes free makeup session and recently also did to the 30 minutes free flash make up tutorial. Great learning pointers. Though, that kind of aided in the cash part. But hey, its still a good investment for all those ladies out there nonetheless right? :P
Anyway, that's just a little something to end Tuesday well :)
Have a good one folks!
Cheers,
Jennifer

BACK FROM HIATUS: MY EVERYDAY LOOK
I AM FINALLY BACK TO BLOGGING, AFTER WEEKS OF HIATUS.
Work has been demanding lately, and Jen and I have been busy creating a solid business plan for our clothing label that is soon-to-be launched. Exciting much?! It will initially be an "instashop" on instagram and we take orders via BBM, Line and WhatsApp only for a start. Please do anticipate it! Details will be flashed here once everything is in place. Meanwhile, let me share with you my daily make-up routine that keeps my look fresh, young and natural.

THE BIG WEDDING
Jen and I were both thankful, honored and lucky to be cordially invited to the biggest wedding we have anticipated for years: The Wedding of the Son and Daughter of Indonesia's Top Conglomerates Victor and Amelia. We had been busy lately- with working out intensively and hunting for evening gowns a little too last minute hoping that we appeared at our best.

PETER PILOTTO FOR TARGET
The wait is finally over, Peter Pilotto for Target went live on both net-a-porter.com and target.com on 9th February. I was glad that we rushed through our brunch that Sunday and stayed close to our laptop for the rest of the day so we wouldn't miss this highly- anticipated fashion war. We did our homework well; browsed through the lookbook days before, set some budget for the haunt and meticulously observed the materials of each item.
Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos are the creative minds behind the London-based Label. Known for their intricate details of graphic prints, futuristic sculptural designs and delicate textiles, Peter Pilotto creates masterpieces that define the beautiful silhouette of a woman and is embraced by many, some of which include the likes of Hollywood Stars like Emma Watson and Carey Mulligan.
Overall, I am truly impressed with the collections for this collaboration they did with Target. The kaleidoscopic patterns and modern cuts at very affordable prices made it irresistible to not even take a chance to glance through the lookbook. We missed out on the collaboration that Isabel Marant did with H&M last november, so we will never let that happen twice. Apart from that, no queue, no moshing, hassle-free payment and shipping... I am beyond glad that they were available online. We were lucky enough to have our dear friend in Seattle that we could shop through target at slightly lower prices (compared to net-a-porter) and enjoy free shipping, so many thanks to my boyfriend and his lil' brother! Though we have to wait til' May for his next visit to Singapore before we can see/feel/wear them, it is worth the wait. Here are the pieces that we selected:
1. Blue/White Colorblock Cardigan US$34.99
2. Light Blue Floral/Check Print Pencil Skirt US$34.99
3. Red Floral Print Shirt Dress US$34.99
4. Red Floral/Check Print Sweatshirt US$29.99
5. Black Stripe Print Skirt US$34.99
6. Purple Floral Print Dress US$69.99
7. Green Netting Print Tank US$24.99
8. Green Floral Stripe Print Pencil Skirt US$34.99
Simply can't wait to wear these beautiful pieces. Goodnight love!
Cheerios,
Alyssa

THE BRIGHTEST DUO
"A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous." -Coco Chanel
The sun has been scorchingly burning, but we both will never let that ruin our 'oh oh tee dee.' With the Angbaos we have collected and the endless sale around town during the CNY week, we did what we do best: shopping. We especially love the collections that were marked down at this time of the year because they always include some of the spring and summer items that tend to be bright and vibrant in color. We love anything that adds a little personality to one's look.
CELEBRATING THE YEAR OF THE HORSE
I know this post is way overdue but it's better late than never. I hope everyone had a wonderful Chinese New Year Celebrations!

THE HUMBLE BEGINNING
"Designers make clothes, women make fashion."
It is not surprising how fashion has taken the world by force. Since the times of Marilyn Monroe to the age of Miley Cyrus, it's always evolving. Through the eyes of godly talented designers, they humans are able to create something so cleverly different yet beautiful- A representation of outstanding fashion pieces through things that are merely fabrics, leather, exotic skins, acrylics you name it. Then there are the visionaries who are able to arrange and combine those artful pieces together into a perfect match, the ones we called outfits and styles. Actually this ability is what makes us bold enough to write a blog about ourselves, our lifestyle and our unique interpretation of exquisite genres in fashion.
