CROP THE PINK, SLIT THE PENCIL

The biggest downside of working as a client-facing frontline role is that I have to strictly adhere to a set of rules for my work attire. But being a fashion enthusiast does not stop me from experimenting on different styles everyday. I always try to mix casual and formal pieces together to pull off an approachable yet professional look at work... and partly because I want to utilize 80% of my wardrobe.

I am currently obsessed with pencil and midi skirts although I know it is a risky move for my petite build. So to complement the knee-length bottom, I always prefer to pair midi skirts with crop top conveniently. As you can see in the photos, I wore the most casual, relaxing crop top (with holes allover it!) for last Saturday's duty and it felt so comfortable. It did hid my belly well and I didn't have to struggle tucking my top into such tight pencil skirt, especially when I am a perfectionist about such things- I hate to have crumpled, thick tuck-in visible marks on my waist and hip area.

To keep an edgy look, I paired this outfit with my Charles&Keith slip-on booties and Hermes CDC Cuff. I am so in love with this asymmetric pencil skirt, it has a small slit opening on the front that is very chic and conservatively sexy!!! Definitely a must-have for my skirt collections...

Hope everyone had an awesome weekend. Good night!

Ciao,
Alyssa <3
