SHADES OF BLUE

Throughout the 7 years I have spent in Singapore, I have never spared a time to discover a place as hippie and as beautiful as Bugis, not even once. But when I finally did it yesterday, I am already excited to list down what's next to explore within the area for my future visits. They have all sorts of small, conceptual cafes and restaurants throughout the stretch of Haji Lane and Arab Street, so I have been missing out big time obviously!

My sister and I selected Maison Ikkoku for our brunch, hoping to get a taste of their famous Rainbow Cake... it is quite unbelievable that I have never tried one before ever since the "all-things rainbow" hype last year. Sadly, it was already sold out for the day... seems that I am not meant to eat it after all. Feeling a little bit full, we shared a plate of French Toast with Berry, a slice of Red Velvet Nutella Cake and our own selections of hot coffee to chill.

For the sweettooth, mocha is always a good idea...

Red Velvet Nutella Cake yums!

Right after our meals, we ventured around the surrounding area of Kandahar Street and we chanced upon beautiful places and things! It is no wonder that Bugis has always been the favorite destination for foodies and tourists.

Masjid Sultan at Arab Street

Dream-catchers in many many colors! Got 1 for myself, hoping to meet my Kim Tan :D

What a vintage and pretty furniture in one of the Turkish Restaurants

The only place in Singapore where Wall Graffitis do not breach the law I suppose...

My weekend was spectacular although it was rather short this time cos we spent half our Sunday to vote for Indonesia's Presidential Election. For once in my life, I cared about voting because finally, we found the one who sincerely cares about our country and he is the hope that can make our home a better place.

Hope everyone has a good rest of their day. Can't wait for next weekend's adventure already!

That's all for now,
